As a volunteer, what do I do?
Volunteers are always
welcome and can work in the following areas:
CAC InfoCentre
Product Information Network
Product Information Service volunteers research one or more products in
detail and advise consumers over the phone from your home, on the product's
brands and features.
Consumer Info
Consumer Info volunteers assist with answering consumer
inquiries over the phone, preparing consumer information packages, filing,
typing/computer work, writing newsletter articles and preparation for
CAC functions and events.
Price Surveying
CAC Manitoba conducts weekly price surveys for PriceWatch
which appears on CKY Newshour every Friday at 6:00 pm. Depending on what
is being surveyed, volunteers either compile the price of products at
the store or by phone.
Data Entry
Volunteers are needed to update and maintain various computer
databases.

The Outreach program is geared specifically toward potentionally vulnerable
consumers such as children, new Canadians, consumers on a limited budget,

project, volunters may be needed to guide consumers through our mobile
resource centre, edit educational materials and represent CAC at public
events.
