Before you call..
Have all necessay written materials beside the phone (bills, guarantees,
warranties, contracts letters, etc.)
Have
paper and a pen at hand to record the time and date if your call, the
names and titles of all the people you speak with and any addresses
or phone numbers you many be reffered to.
Be prepared to
state your complaint, inquiry, or request. Clearly including all important
facts in as few words as possible.
Expect that you
may have to repeat your complaint, inquiry, or request a few times before
you reach the right person or agency. Try to call when you have the
time and patience to do this.
Remain as calm
and clear as possible, especially in an emergency.
If you want to
remain anonymous, remember to use the call display blocking procedure
on your telephone before dialling (press *67 on a touch tone phone or
dial 1167 on a rotary dial phone).
